Here you will find some information on Starcraft. I'm not as
good a player as others, but I manage to stay alive for some time in
multiplayer games (my little brother beats me most of the time).
So don't expect some strategies that will improve your gameplay :)
The only thing I can tell you is, that you need many workers
(Drones, Probes, SCV's), and try to build a second base a.s.a.p.
The Terran forces are the
easiest to learn to play the game. In single player games there is
a tutorial for the Terran. You'll understand it very quickly. One
advantage is, that you can cloak some units.
Strongest units (I think): Siege Tanks in siege mode, ghosts (nuclear
missile), Battle Cruiser (Yamato gun).
The Zerg is my favorite. It's a little difficult to learn
for beginners, but hey have really cool units compared
to the other races. One advantage is, that you can create three units
at a time with one hatchery (homebase). The Terran and Protoss have to build
three barracks/gateways to do that. Another advantage is, that some units
can bury themselves in the ground, and can only be seen by detectors.
Strongest units: Hydralisks (only in big groups), Ultralisks, Guardians and Scourges.
The Protoss (my brothers favorite)
is also difficult for beginners. All units have besides their normal hitpoints a shield.
This shield makes it more difficult to kill them. One unit (Arbiter) can make units in a range
invisible, but NOT ITSELF. In big groups the Zealots are very powerful.
Strongest units: Zealots, Templar, Reaver, Carrier.
